What your space can become

Designed for your home.
Built for your life.

Fire features work best when planned with the seating, shade and overall layout. We discuss the type of feature, fuel source, exposure and surrounding materials, then coordinate the design with the rest of your outdoor space. Clearances, utility needs and product requirements are reviewed for the selected system.

A natural gathering place

Position the feature around comfortable conversation, views and the relationship to the house and patio.

A fireplace can anchor a seating arrangement. For a fire-pit concept, bring a sketch of how you want people to gather and move around it.

An architectural focal point

Explore a masonry fireplace, fire pit or other feature that suits the scale and materials of your backyard.

Plan the details

Fuel source, utility connections, clearances and installation requirements are included in the planning conversation.

Discuss your preferred fuel, available utilities and the proposed location. Appliance instructions, clearances and local requirements need review before the layout is finalized.

Compare the complete scope

Ask which appliance, surround, utility work and surrounding hardscape are included. Review controls and care instructions for the selected product before committing.

In the homeowner’s words

Richard has made our patio build project not only smooth, but enjoyable. As someone who gets overwhelmed with making all the decisions when the options seem endless, Richard asked specific questions to drill down to what I really wanted and my expectations of the space.

He gave me pros and cons of materials or looks I found online and that was a tremendous help in my decision-making process. He checked in every step of the way to make sure we were all on the same page and had so much patience with me when I second guessed some of my decisions or wanted to tweak something.

After this experience, I would recommend him to anyone who has an idea of a space they want to improve. He took our vision to the next level and we can’t wait to enjoy many, many years of entertainment and making memories in our covered patio.

Questions about your project

Can a fireplace be included under a patio cover?

That depends on the selected feature, structure and applicable requirements. We review clearances, ventilation and product specifications before incorporating it into a covered area.

Do you build fire pits too?

Yes. Fire pits and other fire features can be planned within a broader outdoor living project.

What should I budget?

Fire features are priced by scope, materials, fuel source and location. Discuss the feature alongside your total outdoor living budget during consultation.
