What to Expect From Your Design Consultation with HPC
Design consultations are scheduled for 60–90 minutes. Some meetings may use the full time, others may wrap up sooner. It depends on the scope, questions, and complexity of the project. Either way, we’ll be thorough.
What to have ready for your consultation
We’ll meet at your home and walk through the space together. Here’s what helps us make the most of the visit:
- Your ideas, along with any sketches or inspiration pictures you would like to share
- A budget you’re comfortable discussing
- Existing floor plans for an interior project, only if you already have them
- A property survey for outdoor projects
- All decision-makers present at the meeting
Having everyone involved in final decisions present allows us to move efficiently, avoid rework, and provide accurate direction the first time.
Sketches, sample pictures and inspiration images are welcome and help us understand what you have in mind. We’ll walk the space together, explain your options and handle the technical planning and HOA submittal as the design moves forward.
Before you schedule
How do design, HOA review and permits work?
We review your goals, survey, community requirements and the approvals appropriate to the scope. Design and preparation come before construction. The schedule depends on the project and the requirements confirmed for the property.
Do you take on repairs or maintenance?
HPC focuses on new installations and defined remodel projects. We do not offer standalone outdoor living or hardscape repairs, maintenance, painting-only work, fiberglass pools or standalone spa and hot tub installation.
